Re: lets encrypt: add domains cause Proxy Support to stop

I just came across this too. The workaround is to login as admin, switch user to non-admin user, enable proxy again. Then you can turn on SSL / Letsencrypt. The domain should clearly retain the proxy settings as originally set. Also, shouldn't SSL / Letsencrypt also work with apache only, no proxy?

letsencrypt renewal logging / debug

Hi, Having trouble with the built-in v-*-letsencrypt-* scripts. One domain is refusing to renew and I don't know why. The standard letsencrypt client produces masses of logs in /var/log/letsencrypt, which are useful for finding out what's wrong. However the built in scripts just fail silently, with ...

Re: Enabling existing letsencrypt certificates in a domain Topic is solved

For initial setup, I'd set up the first server, point DNS for the domain to that server and run Lets Encrypt. Then I'd point DNS for the domain for the second server at the box and run Lets Encrypt again. Then I'd point it back to the first. Both servers would now be working with SSL, with the corre...

Re: how to make directory under web root

You're not really giving a lot of information here, but you might want to look into the php logs and see if there are errors about the open_basedir directive. If this is the case, you'll need to adjust this. You can do so temporarily in your ~/conf/web/apache2.conf. If you want the changes to be per...

Apache config. Where to make changes for log exclusions

Hi, There are many places to make changes to apache config: /etc/apache/apache2.conf /etc/apache/conf.d/* /usr/local/vesta/data/templates/web/apache2/*.tpl /home/user/conf/web/apache2.conf /home/user/conf/web/sapache2.conf /home/user/conf/web/apache2_domainname_.conf_extra I'd like to exclude certai...

Re: With the new laws in Germany, how do I ban all Traffic via geolocation? (CentOS 7) Topic is solved

This is for sites with more than two million registered users. Are you sure it applies to you?

Also, it doesn't seem to matter which country the offensive comment originates in, just that the company is located in Germany, so I don't see that geo-blocking would help you much here.

Re: Updated to PHP7, but now phpMyAdmin is borked.. What do? (CentOS 7) Topic is solved

I'm running PHPmyadmin under PHP7 without any problems. I'm guessing that you must just be missing some PHP modules. The first place I'd look is in the error logs of your webserver, and in the PHP error log. You may have to enable PHP errror log depending on your installation. Plenty of help around ...

Re: Bought additional hard drive

Not really a Vesta question, but usually your VPS provider will have an option to resize your VM. You choose the larger sized disk, and it will shut down and transfer to the bigger size. Just adding more storage won't work. It has to be mounted at the correct place in the file system. Do you know wh...

No response? This seems fairly serious to me, if the webserver may or may not randomly break when updating letsencrypt certificates ...

Re: Vesta cron job breaks sapache2.conf.

Just noticed that the domain in question now has a new SSL certificate, issued on 27th at 1.15am. I'm guessing that this is a timezone error and corresponds to 2.15am, which places it at the scene of the crime. So it might be something to do with when a certificate is actually renewed, rather than j...
