Re: nginx restart failed (caching template)
My experience for the past few months is when you choose a different template, nginx.conf and .conf files just get fucked up for no reason. Vesta is pretty bugged, imho..

(s)Nginx.conf keeps crashing
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone else has a (s)nginx.conf file that keeps crashing? After every reboot or edit I make in the control panel, somehow there seems lines edited incorrectly in the nginx.conf file. I just had to reboot my server and suddenly a file random lines appeared at the top of t...

[bug] Vesta adds a random } when changing domain back-end templates
Hey guys, I've got a new clean Vesta (nginx+php-fpm) installation and only added a few domains and gave them a SSL Let's Encrypt certificate. All my Wordpress sites on it had 404 errors (except for the homepage), which was due missing some nginx rewrite rules. After a lot of googling I found out tha...

new domains redirect to wrong domain folder
So I've got a clean install of Vesta (nginx+php-fpm) on a Ubuntu 16.04 and the hostname configured during the install is the first domain that is configured on the server. My hostname is 'server.iscs.nl'. Now I just added a few domains, some work great and some, strangely, redirect to server.iscs.nl...

What is the thought behind the default admin and admin_ prefix?
I was wondering why the default user is called 'admin' and the prefix is 'admin_'. Is there a reason for this? I read that having an additional prefix is a so-called 'security measurement', but 'admin' is almost more common than the name 'John' in America. From that perspective, 'vesta' would be mor...

How do I redirect all traffic to the https:// domain?
Hey guys, I've setup Vesta and added SSL support for all domains with Let's Encrypt. When manually typing https://domain.com it'll show the site with SSL turned on, but when I just type domain.com it'll always navigate to the non-SSL http:// variant. How do I make all traffic, per domain or all doma...

Re: Error 400: Adding SSL with Let's Encrypt
Ok well that worked. Now time to figure out how I force HTTPS for all domains by default. I saw a lot of threads posting things like below, but I don't got a clue where to put that.. server { listen 80; listen 443 ssl; server_name www.example.com; return 301 $scheme://example.com$request_uri; } serv...

Error 400: Adding SSL with Let's Encrypt
I just installed Vesta (latest) on my Ubuntu 16.04 VPS and was really amazed it had Let's Encrypt automated support. I added my domains and thought everything worked. However, I checked the web interface and saw none of the domains had SSL support, although I did check the box when adding the domain...
