Backups, does it just overwrite?
Hi, I'd like to try and keep 2 or 3 backups of each account, and then remove the old ones. I'm using remote FTP backups. Is this possible? Or does it do this already? (I tried running the backup script 2 times, but because they are named stuff like rachel.2017-04-15.tar , I guess it just overwrote i...

Firewall - what am I doing wrong?
Hi, I'm trying to work out why I can't connect to port 8181 (my custom Apache install I setup). I didn't want it linked into Vesta as such, so I used the nginx + php-fpm version, and then added Apache2.4 with apt-get Anyway, I'm trying to work out why I can't proxy_pass to it. netstat -an | grep 818...

LetsEncrypt not working from GUI, CLI, or even letsencrypt-auto
Hi, This is driving me up the wall. I just can't work out what is going :/ Using the official certbot-auto, it works fine: certbot-auto certonly -a webroot --webroot-path=/home/rachel/web/businessofbrands.co.uk/public_html -d http://www.businessofbrands.co.uk -d cdn.businessofbrands.co.uk -d busines...

Re: Missing ipv6 definition for nginx template files?
Is this just an oversight, or intentional? I couldn't get it to work without the extra listen directive, so I'm assuming its a bug? Andy it's no mistake or bug, Shame to tell, but we don't fully support ipv6 yet ;( Ah ok :( What part of ipv6 isn't supported? Everything I've been doing works ok (you...

Re: Edit nginx configs?
Another one I came across, is this in the apache2 default.stpl file:
should be:
(I was getting a 500 IS error about the open_basedir not being right)
Cheers
Andy
Code: Select all
php_admin_value open_basedir %docroot%:%home%/%user%/tmp
Code: Select all
php_admin_value open_basedir %sdocroot%:%home%/%user%/tmp

Re: Issue with ngninx 1.11.13 and ssl on ipv4?
I managed to get this working by doing a full re-build (from scratch), but now I've got a similar issue and its doing my head in! This doesn't work on ipv6: root@steamdev2:~# curl -Iv6 http://businessofbrands.co.uk * Rebuilt URL to: http://businessofbrands.co.uk/ * Hostname was NOT found in DNS cach...

Re: Edit nginx configs?
Hi, I edited these .conf files, but they seem to get "broken" when I make changes to the domain, such as removing SSL for example. In one case, it removed the closing } part of the server block, but left 2 opening lines. I noticed we have this at the bottom of the config: include /home/rachel/conf/w...

Missing ipv6 definition for nginx template files?
Hi, In /usr/local/vesta/data/templates/web/nginx/sdefault.tpl , we have: server { listen %ip%:%proxy_port%; Surely that is missing the ipv6 stuff? listen [::]:%proxy_port%; Same goes for /usr/local/vesta/data/templates/web/nginx/default.tpl (but obviously port 80) Is this just an oversight, or inten...
