Re: BUG: %backend% interpreted as empty after upgrade to 0.9.8-16
To sum up, this is present in GUI of Vesta panel. I presume the problems are somewhere in: v-change-web-domain-tpl v-change-web-domain-backend-tpl Becuse if you change it through GUI, it messes up the files, writes ".conf" missing the part berfore .conf. And that same part is missing from nginx conf...

Re: Is vesta suitable to web hosting?
CentOS, Debian whatever... Been using both for over 10 years and after all that time CentOS rules :) Debian has apt with space powers but most of the time don't need them. Only benefit of debian are upgrades between releases which go seamessly most of the time... Ubuntu on the other hand was crap at...

Re: Is vesta suitable to web hosting?
With all do respect for effort, I beg to deffer, Vesta is nice panel but is buggy and is not production ready, especially if you are not a sysadmin. I have wrote few bugs here and I have zero reponse for it. Clamav after installation is using 100% of cpu unless you mkdir /var/run/clamav dir and chow...

BUG2 - version 0.9.8-16 is broken
Hello, I reported something weird in my latest post here but no one reposponded. It turns out it is a BUG. So here goes another BUG in VestaCP - new installation on CentOS7. If you change user shell from /bin/bash to /sbin/nologin it does not get written to /etc/passwd. You have to do a v-rebuild-us...

Re: BUG: %backend% interpreted as empty after upgrade to 0.9.8-16
Just did a fresh install on new server. The behaviour is the same, just switch in GUI from default to socket in backend php-fpm template and it is broken, %backlend% is not set in config files...

Re: %backend% interpreted as empty after upgrade to 0.9.8-16
If I run v-rebuild-user username in cli after modification of template, then the configs are properly updated.
Nevertheless, if I switch to Socket in php-fpm backeng in GUI, the .conf is created. This is a bug in Vesta GUI panel, this was not present in 0.9.8-15 version.
