I am also getting this error. I was able to use the CLI commands before the update, but now I'm getting the same invalid response both in the GUI and CLI.

I should've mentioned that I'm running the Nginx + PHP-FPM configuration. Apache is not installed and I double-checked that there's no apache2.service or httpd.service. When the system starts up it's Nginx that's bound to port 80, I'm just unable to control the instance with the service or systemctl...

I'm having a very similar problem. When I stop nginx with "service nginx stop" there aren't any error messages, but nginx continues to run. Convert Apache install to Nginx
Is it possible to convert my Apache + Nginx install to Nginx + PHP5-FPM? I know I could create backups of all my users, install VestaCP from scratch, and then import all the backup files. But I'm hoping to not have to do that.
