If you get a lot of tmp.xxxx dirs in /backup
maybe can be caused because:
1- You not have enough space to do a full backup
2- You maybe have corrupted databases and backup stop whit error
First option is very frecuent

I think you only can lost passwords but not database, but I not know if move functions have orther problems

Hi Can be attack yes And about wfNet404s and wfVulnScanners This is a problem whit wordfence you will need fix that tables manually because it never delete it in good way The main problems whit that tables is than you may be affected in backup Try a backup your database whit mysqldump in most cases ...

I never meant you can I meant to say you should not uninstall existing mysql, just should install over the existing one.
