Why non-existing URL was redirected to website root/homepage?
When I tried to open non-existing URLs under my website domain, I noticed that sometimes it returns with correct "404" page, but sometimes it just was redirected to website root/homepage without any error message ! For example, here are two URLs: http://www.angnuokeji.com/about/company_profile/ and ...

Re: 500 error but I have no idea how to fix them
I had changed some value in Nginx configuration ( I forgot which ones, just followed forum posts), now my website seldom shows 500 error. But when I check the error log, I see following records: root@mail:/var/log/apache2/domains# tail joomlagate.com.error.log 2017/02/20 08:04:42 [error] 988#988: *3...

Re: [HOWTO] Recompile NGINX with OpenSSL 1.0.2+ for HTTP/2 via ALPN on Debian 8
I had already found a perfect solution to build a "PHP7 + openssl 1.0.2 + nginx 1.11" web environment with VestaCP, it is so simple:
Just use Ubuntu server 16.04 as the OS of your server, then install VestaCP on Ubuntu, all above issues solved!

Re: 500 error but I have no idea how to fix them
Yes, there is a htaccess file named ".htaccess" which is the must of Joomla. Why should I delete it?
I had modified php.ini only to change the settings for "error_reporting" and "max_execution_time" and similar time limits.

Re: what does "upstream timed out" error mean?
Ok, since I am not a pro , so I choose to "reboot" my server. After reboot, Nginx seems OK now. root@mail:~# systemctl status nginx ● nginx.service - LSB: Stop/start nginx Loaded: loaded (/etc/init.d/nginx; bad; vendor preset: enabled) Active: active (running) since Sat 2017-01-28 08:37:55 CST; 1min...

Re: what does "upstream timed out" error mean?
Well, I tried to change both number to "300" for the "keepalive_timeout" parameter, then I saved that conf file and tried to restart Nginx, then I got following error: root@mail:/etc/nginx# systemctl restart nginx Job for nginx.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "...

Re: what does "upstream timed out" error mean?
Today I met "upstream timed out" error again on my re-installed VPS server. So I followed your above post to change those timing values. Well, I found all those 4 parameters in this file: /etc/nginx/nginx.conf . However, the format of "keepalive_timeout" directive is not a single value, but a pair :...

500 error but I have no idea how to fix them
Recently I re-installed my whole VPS server, use Ubuntu server 16.04.1 as the OS, and then installed VestaCP 0.98-17 by the default installing method, and then enabled SSL and implemented Let's Encrypt certificates. Everything seems OK until there appears "500 — Internal Sever Error" now and then wi...

Re: When will VestaCP really support Let's Encrypt and SSL OCSP stapling?
Well, finally I solved this issue by using the "letsencrypt-vesta" script from https://github.com/interbrite/letsencrypt-vesta .
I think this script is more easier than the SSL GUI of VestaCP.

Re: Let's Encrypt - How to use
I have exactly the same issue when trying to generate Lets Encryypt certificate for my domain via the VestaCP GUI.balinese wrote: when try via vesta panel - Error code: 2
My server OS: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS 64-bit
My VestaCP version: 0.98-17
Anyone here to check this and fix it?
Thank you.
