Custom rule backups for Apache/nginx?
Custom rule backups for Apache/nginx?
Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how add some extra files into the backup process. I'm using nginx as the front end, with Apache2 as the backend. In my nginx templates I have a rule like:
This means that if I add a nginx.mydomain.com.rules.conf file, I can include custom rules in it. This works perfectly. The problem is that these files are not backed up (only the main .conf files) . How can I add these into the backup as well? (and restore process, although that isn't quite as important - as long as they are in the tar)
The second thing is around my Apache2 install. In /etc/apache2/sites-available we have the config files for the domain. How do I get it to back those up as well? Currently I'm having to tar up the entire directory manually, and making a backup. Not ideal (especially if I forget to update after a change)
Thanks!
Andy
