Of course you can do it.

Rly? Which one? File permission? VestaCP can help you with your sites hosting, but can't fix all system or 3rd-party software bugs. Sorry man, but it's true. On this forum we have disscussion and make some solution and fixes. But you need understand Vesta itself very stable, 3rd-party modules - not always,
patstan wrote:VestaCP is keeping quiet, at least let us know if you are still planning to release the update? We seriously do appreciate your free panel and we are more than happy to help you out on paid upgrades.
Rly? You can track my messages, right? ;-)

Without open_basedir about what small bugs you talking? It's will be good to know.

I would love to help, but I do not know PHP at all. And with an infant at home I don't have time to learn it....

No updates or dates yet, new branch comming, but hard to say when.
alexcy wrote:For me priority are bug fixes and security. There are numerous small bugs that need to be addressed, which are annoying. I dont mind waiting for new features even for another 6 months. However I don't like the uncertainty of the future of Vesta. It is by far the best panel I have ever used and that's the only reason I am still here waiting.

Thanks for your believe! ^_^
The small bugs I am talking about are:

1) Incorrect backup counter for a user. Keep saying 2/1 backups. If I click update counters it corrects itself to 1/1, when the backup runs it goes again to 2/1

2) When I click update counters twice to all users (as admin), the counter sets itself for all users the same values (the bigger value of disk space of a user gets copied to all users). When I click update again it corrects itself.

3) In Graphs it creates a ppp0 graph that has values of NaN. Even if I delete this it just reappears.

4) Statistics are inaccurate the first 1-2 days of each month. They have a value of 0mb bandwidth for nearly all sites which I am unsure is incorrect. Also, sometimes it lists wrong number of some values (I have 17 IPs and last month kept showing 18 IPs - I had to manually change the value from console).

5) User log always shows incorrect days (yesterday I made an action and logged a date of September 2014!)

6) Bug with forwarded emails not deleted from mail accounts. However I found a solution for this in the Forum. I plan to install Vesta to other servers as well and don't want to make manual bug fixes for all of them.

7) Bug with Spam folder not created (also fixed it manually by using advice from the Forum)

8) In Ubuntu and Debian, nologin should be /usr/sbin/nologin and not /sbin/nologin . Also manually corrected.

That's all I remember. If I come across some more I will let you know. Finally, I am afraid to touch the Firewall section of Vesta due to various problems I keep seeing in the Forum.

All in all, I will say it again. I love Vesta. If you keep regular updates especially for bug fixes and security and not focus only on new features, It will be the best panel ever.

Will this be an easy upgrade, or does it request a fresh installation?

And much thanks to all the developers! I really enjoy using VestaCP !! I understand development of a free product, lots of people are pushy, but a lot of us are patient.

Thanks!

can you guys provide a detailed information about the release? is it going to be open source and free like always or you are going to release a commercial version?
it is not very clear right now, I read some where in the forum that you guys are planning to release vesta cp on commercial licence with fee, so far it is the simplest control panel, I hate it to get commercialized.
