Offline Installer
Offline Installer
Good day. Do you plan to implement the offline installer. There are situations where it is impossible to use an Internet connection to install the panel, for example, in closed corporative networks. It would be great if it was possible to install Vesta without connecting to the Internet.

Re: Offline Installer
Looking at the install file, unless you were using debian/ubuntu and had all the .deb packages downloaded locally which would be a truck load btw, then yeah it might be possible.
Though to save time and a headache, just install via the internet! (Way faster and literally takes 15-20 minutes!)

Re: Offline Installer
I also support this great idea about "Offline Installer" for VestaCP.
Today I tried to install VestaCP on a server located in center of China, I noticed that it is very very very slow when downloading the "vesta-php" file from "http://apt.vestacp.com/xenial xenial/vesta" server, the speed is about 5KB/s !
So I think you should consider to make an Offline Installer option, only include those files that outside Ubuntu itself (because I can install Ubuntu updates form mirrors inside my country, but there is no mirrors for VestaCP itself).
Thank you.

Re: Offline Installer
Is it possible to distribute your code on some "mirrors" like Ubuntu ? Did you host all your code (like vesta-php) on Github? Because it is very slow to download files from your own server during installation of VestaCP.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Mirrors where and why? I don't really know, where it's needed.baijianpeng wrote:Is it possible to distribute your code on some "mirrors" like Ubuntu ? Re: Offline Installer
The easiest way would be to create a Virtual image of a fresh VestaCP install.
You can then restore that image to whatever virtualizor you are using.
you will also need to do some change config scripts like change hostname,IP after restoring the image using the VestaCLI commands. I use it all the time to create test servers on VirtualBox
