IP address Error
Hey everyone,
New to Vesta - Been working with Cpanel for about 6 years, been managing servers for about 9 years.
I normally can figure things out myself but this one is stumping me.
I have a Ubuntu 14.04 - Fresh install of Vesta - using Digital Ocean.
I have setup a Floating IP on DO.
All DNS is hosted on CloudFlare.
First I added 2 domains to the first IP (Main DO IP and Main Shared Vesta IP) - Those work great - when going to example.com I see "example.com - Powered by Vesta"
Then I added my Second (Floating) IP, using eth0 and netmask of 255.255.240.0
I then added a new domain (example2.com) and assigned example2.com to the second IP via the Vesta CP.
However when going to example2.com I see "It worked!" - Which is the page for the server, rather than that domain. I should see a page that says "example2.com - Powered by Vesta".
So I switched example2.com back to the main IP (Also changing DNS) - and walla - "example2.com - powered by Vesta" - Then I switched it back to the floating it and it changes back to "It Works!"
So how do I properly configured a DO floating IP address?

If I have described the above solution that you cannot follow, then ask me for details step by step. No problem.
If you could do that - That would be awesome..
I am somewhat following you but not sure on the exact process.
Ill poke around while waiting for your reply though.
I was under the impression floating IPs where simply an additional IP, I will have to do some more research on that as well it seems.
P.S. - I don't use Exim or DNS - Only services I am using are nginx/apache2.

After poking around for about 30 seconds I see exactly what you mean and it is now working perfectly.XoXiLhJ0mn wrote: If I have described the above solution that you cannot follow, then ask me for details step by step. No problem.
For others:
I deleted the Floating IP for the IP list.
There was already a 10.x.x.x IP in the list (Happened on install automatically)
I put the floating IP in the NAT Ip box of the 10.x.x.x
Changed domain IP on the web tab (Which now shows floating ip insteaf od the 10.x.x.x)
And its working great.
Thanks XoXiLhJ0mn! You were a huge help man.
