Vesta and PHP7 on Debian 8?
Does anyone have any instructions on how I would switch over Vesta and Nginx with PHP-FPM to PHP7?
Re: Vesta and PHP7 on Debian 8?
Nope, but you can try this and make manual.

Using dotdeb repo:
If you are using PHP via Apache then also run this:
... or you can upgrade Debian8 to Debian9 - viewtopic.php?f=41&t=15452&p=63601
Code: Select all
apt-get update && apt-get -y upgrade
reboot
echo "deb http://packages.dotdeb.org jessie all" >> /etc/apt/sources.list
echo "deb-src http://packages.dotdeb.org jessie all" >> /etc/apt/sources.list
wget https://www.dotdeb.org/dotdeb.gpg
sudo apt-key add dotdeb.gpg
apt-get update && apt-get -y upgrade
x="$(dpkg --list | grep php | awk '/^ii/{ print $2}')"
y="$(sed 's/php5/php7.0/g' <<<$x)"
echo New PHP7 packages name: $y
apt-get -y install $y
apt-get -y install php7.0-xml php7.0-mbstring
Code: Select all
a2dismod php5
a2enmod php7.0
service apache2 restart
