I get this error every time an inbound emails comes in:
There is not even a folder named clamav in /var/run/. Am I missing a symbolic link?

Yes I have followed all of those instructions. It suggests creating the folder and then chowning it. That made no difference. I've searched google quite a lot for this one.
If I also create the clamd.sock file INSIDE that folder, it says connection refused.

You can Disable Clam Scan on incoming mails (if that's ok with you)
