Remote POP3/IMAP server as MX backup
Remote POP3/IMAP server as MX backup
Hello,
Is there any ready solution to use external POP3/IMAP mail box as a MX backup server?
...
Now I'm looking for a solution to take all those mail from secondary mail server via POP3/IMAP and save it locally according to local mail server config, i.e. into /home/admin/mail/domain.com/[maillogin]/cur/[long-file-name] to be accessible using local dovecot or webmail.
...
What is the meaning of the parts of the long file name in the mail directory?
First part looks like timestamp, next is starting with H and big number of digits, then the local server hostname, the last block is :2,RS. I see I can use any random name in the similar format, only timestamp is necessary?
Thanks
