Apple Mail + VestaCP
Apple Mail + VestaCP
Hi all,
I'm having lots of issues with Apple Mail and VestaCP. It seems like the two are not friends at all.
1. Apple Mail has to have the "allow insecure authentication" option turned on to auth
2. Adding an account in apple mail tends to trigger the default fail2ban rules as it probes the server and repeatedly fails auth due to (1).
3. Apple Mail seems to relentlessly turn "automatically manage settings" back on, which turns off insecure auth, and turns on ssl and probes the server as in (2), resulting in the settings breaking and the user getting banned again for 5 minutes.
How do I configure vestacp so that it will pass Apple's "secure authentication" test, and stop being a giant pain for everyone?
