I need to upload a whole bunch of existing emails but the mail directories over ftp are all empty.

I have created and logged into the email accounts via IMAP and webmail.
Still nothing to see over FTP.

/mail/ --> empty
/conf/mail/domain.com/ --> empty

however!
/home/username/mail/domain.com/ -> has the email folders

ow come its not showing up on the FTP? (I have refreshed and reconnected 100 times)

If you need to import emails from one server to another there is great tool called doveadm
