Broke MySQL root password?
Broke MySQL root password?
Since I couldn't find the root mysql password that Vesta setup, I changed to root MySQL password manually in MySQL. Well, apparently that broke things since now I'm getting the error message "backups failed" with the following details:
Is there a standard way to change the MySQL root password through Vesta that I should have used?
Where can I configure the root MySQL password for Vesta now so backups work?
Code: Select all
Can't connect to MySQL localhost
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Basically, if you change your password in MySQL, you also need to edit it in the file /usr/local/vesta/conf/mysql.conf
