I am thinking to reinstall vesta on my Ubuntu. Due reason I can't add new domain - however it was working correctly last week but now ain't working well... when I am adding a new domain on the website just the nginx configuration is created and no apache2 configurations... (and actually ngingx configuration is also broken...) I don't know what happened. Maybe one of the apt-get upgrade package causes the problem - I opened a topic under the web server forum (please let me know if you have some suggestions)

But now, I am thinking about the reinstall... Is it possible to not lose the current cofigurations? (mail, user, web etc...) Is there any ease why how I can reinstall the whole Vesta?

I am really appreciated your help!

- Backup userdata / configs
- install fresh server
- Restore from backup

It's simple plan.
Or look at errors.
There is no correct way to reinstall all on working machine.

Could you please provide an example on how to backup userdate / config via SSH ?

Hi,

I saw that post. But how would I save the backup on my PC and then uplaod it from there as well?

Assuming you wipe the server etc you wouldnt want to save the back up in the same server.

You can use ftp/sftp to backup data to local pc or second server.
