Re: Temporary URL for new users
Hi everyone. I know that this is an old posting but I just cannot get this to work. I followed the instructions in the VESTACP documentation. But no luck. In Vestacp panel the WEB shows the subdomain website-com.sub.mydomain.ca The IP page has sub.mydomain.ca The DNS show *.sub as an A record. It mi...

Re: subdomain or invalid domain goes to wrong place
Ok, So this isn't a bug, but VESTA is poorly configured out of the box IMHO. There is no default website and so if someone points their site to my IP they would be served a page. This should not happen . An error page should have been served. Apache serves the sites in alphabetic order of the .conf ...

subdomain or invalid domain goes to wrong place
Hi, Please please help! I have 3 domains. All under the admin user. I have tried creating a subdomain (for roundcube webmail) and it always takes me to the first domain I created on Vestacp. It doesn't matter what the directory I use is it will always take me to the index page of example.com. If I t...

Re: Exim Seems to be Hacked
Sorry, I should have added that another way around your problem is to make sure you have a root entry in /etc/aliases. root : someone@domain.tld That is supposed to work but it didn’t for me. That’s why I created a root mail user account. I don’t like having a root mail user account so if anyone kno...

Re: Exim Seems to be Hacked
On my server this was happening because VESTACP seems to send system emails via root@yourdomain.tld. and since there was no root mail account, the messages get frozen and build up for 7days before they clear. All I did was create a root mail account and redirected all it’s mail to the admin user. I ...

Re: Exim4.conf.template does nothing
Really! nobody out there has anything to add to this to help me out. I'm kinda confused as to why the /etc/exim4/exim.conf.template does nothing on my system and why I have to make changes to exim4.conf instead. Is this a bug that I need to report or is something misconfigured in my system. If someth...

Exim4.conf.template does nothing
I haven’t screwed around with VESTACp enough to have broken it.So I know I’m not the problem. So, what’s the purpose of /etc/exim4/exim4.template??? Changes to it do nothing and if I do Exim -d it shows /etc/exim4.conf as the config file. Am I missing something? I’m on the newest version of Vesta an...
