Installation issues with Centos 7.7 - bug report
Hi, I install often Vesta CP on centos 7.7, and on some servers (they are VPS from ovh.com), the installation has issues: [root@vps178504 ~]# cat /etc/*release CentOS Linux release 7.7.1908 (Core) NAME="CentOS Linux" VERSION="7 (Core)" ID="centos" ID_LIKE="rhel fedora" VERSION_ID="7" PRETTY_NAME="Ce...

Re: Vesta service is not auto restarting ?
Ok so I ended up by creating a watcher for the service. Maybe not the most proper way , but as it works I will use it. However, I am still confused that vesta can't at least warn when its own apache or nginx server has failed. Here is my little addition , I sampled a vesta cli script , then called i...

Re: Vesta service is not auto restarting ?
Yes I did , it seems that the status "available (excited)" may not be seen as a failure. From the examples I found, a well known service using this state is iptables. Iptables just runs a process at start, when done it is not running anymore. So the service shown available because iptables service i...

Re: Vesta service is not auto restarting ?
Hi, I did some test trying to use the always option for restart param and also the watchdog. None have worked. Maybe I did not did it properly, as I am not use to play with services configuration. So my last solution will be to write and deploy to a watchdog script monitoring the panel URL and resta...

Vesta service is not auto restarting ?
Hi, I manage many vesta servers and on a regular basis the web interface is not available due to a service issue. Service status is active, but excited: vesta.service - SYSV: Run vesta web server Loaded: loaded (/etc/rc.d/init.d/vesta; bad; vendor preset: disabled) Active: active (exited) since Tue ...

Vesta API : check versions
Hi, I have been looking to the vesta api command list (https://github.com/serghey-rodin/vesta/tree/master/bin) and I did not found a command returning the vesta core package version (nor php and nginx). Did I miss it ? We manage a several VPS (next to 180) and we plan to use Vesta on all of them , t...

Re: All VestaCP installations being attacked
Hi, 21 servers hacked , all hosted by OVH. All of them with random ports.
We really need to have feedback about what was the issue and how it worked, until then , our servers are going back to plesk :(
