Re: security updates with vestacp
I use CentOS, so OS updates I leave it to the yum-cron service to check and apply the new packages. When the Kernel is updated, I reboot the server. In the case of Vesta, I disable auto-update, because I prefer to do tests first - on a test server - before applying to production servers. The last Ve...

In case of using cloudflare you need to grant access to all IPs used by them.
You might need to create a rule for each IP range.

If you want to limit (by source IP) who can access your application that is on Vesta, then yes. The Vesta firewall is used to control access to services running on the Vesta server. You will be able to enable access to a TCP or UDP port (or range of ports) and also define the source address of the c...

Re: How did VestaCP downgrade PHP8.1 to 7.4
I think you would need to uninstall all php 8.1 packages. First make a list of all installed packages: rpm -qa | grep php-8.1 Then disable the remi-php81 repository, changing the "enabled" parameter in the file /etc/yum.repos.d/remi-php81.repo from 1 to 0 (zero). As explained above, now enable the r...

You can even delete this file, because it will be created again.
Before deleting the file, stop the fail2ban service.

I think it's only possible if you control access via IP using a Firewall.
Depending on your need, a Layer 7 Firewall may be required.

Re: [AntiDDoS] for VestaCP with vDDoS Proxy Protection
Very good tutorial.
In case you have Nginx working as a reverse proxy for Apache, would it be better to replace Nginx with vDDOS?
Because I think it doesn't make sense to have vDDOS, Nginx and Apache integrated or does it?

Re: SMTP: 599 EOF. Return to Sender.
The error "Timeout waiting for client input" indicates that it is something related to the network, firewall or even a block of the IPs you are using. Unfortunately, being OK in mxtoolbox is not a guarantee of delivery for Gmail and Hotmail, as they use their own criteria. if emails are normally sen...

Re: DNS Forwarding not working for remote server ip addresses.
Are you creating domain DNS record with web server IP?
Test with the nslookup or host command to verify that the domain IP is correct and that it matches the IP of the web server.
This tutorial you indicated only works if the DNS and the web server are on the same server.
