Re: Web domain -> cascade
Thanks Skid,
The cli removal works perfect, and I didn't think to check that as I thought it might perform the same thing.
Cheers.

Re: Error: mail alias foo exist
I'm not entirely sure, does it work after upgrade? Nope, same scenario. Exact same error. Using the default code, I have added the following aliases to an account. foo.bar foo.baz # dpkg -l grep Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold | Status=Not/Inst/Conf-files/Unpacked/halF-conf/Half-inst/trig...

Re: Error: mail alias foo exist
It's weird. OpenVZ shouldn't affect the system. Absolutely! Can you still reproduce the error with latest grep? Original domain function can be downloaded from githab That last test was with the original file in place. I just checked over the same function in github and it certainly matches my orig...

Re: Error: mail alias foo exist
Hi Skid, Just checked my system. (Reverted my changes first). Performed the norm, update, dist-upgrade, etc. the problem is still present. I'm running an OpenVZ (Proxmox) container for this and it's not referring to 7.1, just 7. However... # grep --version grep (GNU grep) 2.12 # cat /etc/issue.net D...

Re: Clam & Spam
What are your server specs? (RAM mainly) The Antivirus and AntiSpam are only installed on "medium" and "large" server environments (> 3G of RAM) generally. I tweaked the installer on my server in order to force them installed as I only had 1G of RAM in a virt env. My traffic load isn't heavy so the ...

Re: I do not receive Gmail emails
Hi Nodsert,
Might need to provide some maillogs outlining the specifics in order to get more help with that issue.
These are normally in /var/log/exim4/{mainlog,rejectlog} (Sanitise before you post that info).
Cheers

Re: Error: mail alias foo exist
Hi Skid, Testing this further, it appears that "grep -w" seems to match words even with commas (Even though man states "Word-constituent characters are letters, digits, and the underscore."). I have played a little and the best solution I can come up with is to perform the following. (Only tested on...

Web domain -> cascade
Hi guys, This is more of a curiosity than anything. Adding a domain: Click "Add domain" This includes the ability to add the domain for both DNS and Mail. Once this is done, all is good. I can now, if wanted, remove the mail domain record fine, or remove the dns domain record fine, however, if I dec...

Re: Send Mail and Receive
Just guessing but performing a whois on hdfddd.biz (or is this made up?) returns no result. Most mail servers aren't going to accept email from a non-existent domain.
