Will reinstalling it remove my current mail domains/data at all? I don't think it's with the data storage that's the problem but rather the files to actually run the software are gone. So will reinstalling cause any difficulties?

The /var/log/dovecot error file was blank. That's why I posted mail.error above. It seems the mail.error file has some relation since the error shown above is the same day the mail server somehow stopped and /run/dovecot vanished.

Dovecot Won't Start
This was very sudden and I don't know what cased it. The Dovecot error files do not provide good info at all. But anyways it simply stopped working and now will not start. What does the operating system itself show? The Control Panel RAM is almost always inaccurate, don't trust it. I run Ubuntu 14.04 and only have 1.8GB RAM used normally, with about 50 sites and hundreds of visitors.
