When you do a fresh install of vestacp it installs PHP 5.6 as part of its LAMP Stack. Ioncube is currently not available for this, which means using WHMCS or Boxbilling locally is not possible. This works finewhen adding a new domain add it like a subdomain for example sub.domain.com and it will create a new web folder for it... it should automatically configure your dns for you as well.. as long as your using the same ip address as the original domain.com no need to touch DNS records

Ok, its fixed. it would appear there is an issue with the vestacp proftpd.conf that you overwrite the default proftpd.conf with.
