Re: Do we need nginx and apache coexist in default installat

Hi!

nginx receives the :80 requests and then passing them to :8080 to Apache, you can set up nginx to cache resources. It's a reverse proxy.

You can remove it from the chain with the instructions on the Documentation page if you would like to.

Re: How to associate default domain to the IP of server.

Hi!

I would try defining the Assigned Domain on the IP list. You can also edit the default domain (page) when logging in as admin or add a Web Domain for that IP address.

1GB File Limit on http

Hi! I've found that if you try to download files bigger than 1GB in size from your server your download will stop at 1GB without any errors on the client side (so it looks like that the download is completed while it's not, but stopped at 1GB (+/-100MB) and the file got corrupted) I don't seem to fi...

Re: Is it safe to update?

Hi As of now i don't thing VestaCP supports any out-of-box mail "clustering" or any automated options like dns-cluster. The manual method would be to simply add another MX record with lower priority so in case your first server could not be reached by the other servers they'll try to send the mail t...

Re: Is it safe to update?

Hi! Thanks, I'll try it on my secondary server which should not cause any downtime or problems since it's only a dns-cluster and SMTP relay. I'll post an update with the results. --------UPDATE I've ran the update, the following problems occured: SOLUTION AT THE BOTTOM! update process: Updating : cl...

Is it safe to update?

Hi! Running yum update returns a couple of packages to be upgraded from the rpm-repo. (clamav, clamd, etc.) On a prevous server when I updated these with VestaCP the Clam installation broke and so i stopped receiving emails. That was a random anomaly and it's safe to update these packages or I shoul...

Re: DNS Digital Ocean

Hi! If I understand you correctly, your problem is that you don't want to use DigitalOceans name servers to set up each record. To solve this you have to run two redundant name servers (which can be done using a DNS cluster, read more in docs) and then set your domains Glue records to point to your ...

Re: Vesta is Crazy

Hi! When you're adding the SSL cert you have a choice to use public_html or public_shtml. The reason that http and https is different is that you might be using the https directory for the ssl. If you set it to use the normal http directory that might help solving the problem as both of http and htt...

Re: Set time of backup

Hi!

If you log in as admin you can go to cron jobs and edit: sudo /usr/local/vesta/bin/v-backup-users to run at the given time.
