Мне помог этот рецепт:
Идем в конфиг раундкуба defaults.inc.php (у меня это /etc/roundcubemail/defaults.inc.php)
Ищем параметр $config['smtp_helo_host'] =' ';
Меняем на $config['smtp_helo_host'] = 'localhost';
