Re: Domain Registrar's DNS and VestaCP DNS

No they do not override. You're either using your domain registrars DNS or you can use Vesta's Named (if you have this installed). This depends on where you are pointing your domain's nameservers (ns1, ns2. etc). If you're using Google domains to manage your DNS then you can delete all DNS records f...

Re: Do I need the DNS server?

If you're pointing your nameservers to Linode then you can use Linode to handle your DNS records. Doing a quick lookup on your domain the records appear to be Ok. You have correct A and AAAA records pointing to your webserver and MX records pointing to Google (G Suite for mail?) http://viewdns.info/...

If you're sure you have the correct DNS records such as SPF etc, then I would try contacting them to see if they have blocked your IP. My VPS IP was blacklisted from whomever had it previously for spamming and I filled out a co...

Re: Two WordPress websites on the same VPS

Log in to your VestaCP and create a new user with a suitable package (best to separate websites under different accounts). Then go back to the user accounts list, hover over the newly created account and select 'Login as [user]', go to 'web' and create a new domain (your second domain) and do the sa...

Re: How to manage server loads caused by 1 website.

Have you optimized MySQL?

I also host 8 WordPress and 2 static websites. One site has always caused problems ever since the client installed a eBay lite plugin which is query heavy. I followed a few guides online and also used MySQLTuner for value recommendations, a cache plugin also helped.

Re: WordPress Hacking Attempt from localhost

Hi Adam, Are you using a security plugin like Wordfence? I had a similar problem where it was showing every visitor's IP as the server's hostname. So every "hacking" login attempt was essentially locking me out. I had to follow this post in order to get the correct IP's showing up: https://forum.ves...
