Re: Install Jitsi on a VestaCP server
Hi, I'm trying the same. I installed on a fresh system jitsi first and it worked and then install --force vestaCP over it.
I thought then copying over the nginx conf would do the job, but it didn't.
How did you install it?

Re: maximum 16 characters length, including prefix
Thanks for pointing me to that conversation, but I miss the real point in there too. MariaDB10+ supports more than 16 chars and the idea of limiting down to 8 chars is so like 8 bit? We are in 2017, and when you try to explain char limitations to someone, they rightfully laught at you. I had not too...

maximum 16 characters length, including prefix
There is this old post about the max length for a DB user. http://forum.vestacp.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=6740&hilit=maximum+16+characters+length Neither do I see that the feature request went forward, nor that this limitation has been lifted. However. MariaDB (which has replaced mysql in most distro...

Re: Backup and restore seems not to copy database passwords
nah definitely worked before when moved from centos6 to centos6 hosts. However probably something fishy with the whole ubuntu 16.04 implementation as I spotted the backup is not working. its failing on the database backup with : 2016-12-06 20:04:30 user1_DB (mysql) Error: dump user1_DB failed trying...

Backup and restore seems not to copy database passwords
Not sure if this is a bug in the new 0.9.8-17 version or if it works as expected. Making a v-backupuser and v-restoreuser on a new Server, for example, seems to wipe/reset the database passwords of installed DBs of that user. After a restore, I need to go back and reset the passwords on the database...

Re: You can install vestacp in ubuntu 16.04?
Is there any timeline for supporting 16.04 LTS? Will 0.9.8-16 support it?
Got a brand new VPS and would like to use 16.04 to get some good time out of it rather than installing something that is considerably EOL.
