I was finally able to get this working by changing my primary domain from child-ns to default.

Note that it wiped out all of my existing DNS settings (SPF, DMARC, CNAME and A records) so make note of them before you switch.

did you trace the IP if it really routes to your box? or are you using a domainname which may lead to another IP than the one you're expecting, because it is set wrong (typo/forgot to change etc.)?
