Hi,
By doing so, you simply executed some functions written in the script that is included in the change-ip-script.

If somebody else stumbles this thread googling like i did here is the way that worked for me on Vesta 0.9.8-16.
I had only one IP on my old server and 1 IP on a new one.
On a new server:
1) Login to vesta via your browser
2) Go to "IP" page (your-vesta-ip:8083/list/ip/)
3) Click on "apply to ...
