Re: 505 Internal error
Well that's just great. :-) (sarcasm)
Have you installed anything that would block logging? CSF maybe?
Very very hard to diagnose not knowing why nginx is erroring.

Re: Softaculous it does not work alter update 0.9.8-23
Starting a new topic about a topic already being discussed is unhelpful. It makes it harder to follow. This is a known issue. Ubuntu 18.04 for me, you can see I tried everything in my response. I think it is a permission thing. (sudo restriction). But, if it means undoing the sudo restriction, no way!

Re: DNS issue
Easiest way is to create an apache rewrite rule to drop 'www' from our site with a 301 permanent. This will stop bots from indexing it.
Don't remove 'www' from DNS. Its the sites FQDN.
Google it, 'apache2 rewrite www' it will have many references :-)

Re: Different ways to access the VestaCP Panel
The easiest way, is using Vesta's templates. Main Vesta site has locations for your distro. (Assuming nginx reverse proxy). In nginx templates for proxy: Copy default.tpl and default.stpl to vesta_proxy.tpl and vesta_proxy.stpl repectively. Change the %proxy_port% (not looking at the files, I'm on m...

Re: How to disable auto update
Login to panel as admin -> Updates (top UI bar) -> Disable Auto Updates
It will be right by the 'apply to' box.

Re: Softaculous showing blank page
I have been trying to think if I changed anything, and the only thing since initial install was the hostname.
Maybe softaculous checks this? It may be unrelated, but I wanted to inform you. :-)

Re: TUTORIAL: PHP selector for PHP 5.6, 7.0, 7.1 and 7.2 for Debian (and optionally make direct nginx <-> PHP-FPM stack)
Works perfectly on Ubuntu 18.04, the only change is the first step. add-apt-repository ppa:ondrej/php a2enmod proxy_fcgi setenvif The commands all expect root, so su root The rest you do verbatim. I made a few adjustments, and added a default.sh to remove you from any pool. Another modification I ma...
