Point my domain to DNS records in VestaCP DNS

My domain provider is Google Domains. I have pointed it to my server using A record.

I have around 12 records in VestaCP's DNS configuration, which I figured, isn't visible. How can I configure my domain to use/consume the DNS records listed in VestaCP DNS configuration?

Re: How to sucessfully upgrade Debian8 to Debian9 using VestaCP

Hi, Thanks for the great post. Everything worked great except enabling HTTP2. For me /home/admin/conf/web/snginx.conf (Username: admin) was a blank file. And when I added the line, the server failed to restart with the following error: "listen" directive is not allowed here in /home/admin/conf/web/s...

TLS Error on connection from XXX. Error while reading file.

My mail server can't seem to receive an encrypted email. I get the following error on Exim log. 2017-10-21 17:00:24 TLS error on connection from mail-oi0-f66.google.com [209.85.218.66] (cert/key setup: cert=/usr/local/vesta/ssl/certificate.crt key=/usr/local/vesta/ssl/certificate.key): Error while r...

vsFTPd - Additional users and additional FTP users can't connect to FTP server

Any additional FTP user or new user that I create from VestaCP cannot connect to FTP server while root and admin can. /var/log/auth.log shows the following error: Feb 24 14:09:26 diliprajbaral sshd[13957]: User admin_diliprajbaral not allowed because shell /sbin/nologin does not exist Feb 24 14:09:2...

Domain Registrar's DNS and VestaCP DNS

I bought a domain from Google Domains. I have an A record (on Google Domains DNS control panel) pointed to my server's IP (typically). I had a 'www' CNAME record pointed to 'mydomain.tld'. To experiment with VestaCP DNS I deleted the 'www' record from Google Domains DNS panel. There was already a `w...

Re: Nginx fails to restart after enabling SSL Support; Site goes down

I did a fresh install and it worked. Perhaps letsencrypt messed up some config.

Re: Setup GitLab to run on a subdomain

For GitLab you need an own server/VPS, I would not suggest you to install it on top on an existing VestaCP server. Then just create a dns record for gitlab.mydomain.com, install GitLab and configure it to this domain. Why isn't it a great idea to install GitLab on top of VestaCP server? And what DN...

Setup GitLab to run on a subdomain

I installed GitLab following the steps on their website. (https://about.gitlab.com/downloads/#debian8)

I already have a website setup on my domain. I want to be able to access GitLab on a subdomain i.e. https://gitlab.mydomain.com.

How can I do this?
