Brute force protection
Does the Vesta login page have brute force protection (banning IP after failed attempts?)
If not, is there a way to implement this? Or to have a whitelist of IPs?

Re: Upload Vesta user backups to Dropbox automatically daily
The "dropbox_uploader.sh" bug has been fixed on github, so I have re-updated my instructions to load the latest version from there.
Again, remove your original by doing:
rm -rf /dropbox
Then repeat the instructions for configuring "dropbox_uploader.sh".

Re: Upload Vesta user backups to Dropbox automatically daily
Friend, thanks for the great work! I noticed that my backups were added "admin.2018-01-15_05-10-12.tar" the time, so the file is not being renamed to admin.tar in the dropbox, could you add a fix in the script? Many thanks and I'm sorry, I'm using google. Yes, the script needed to be updated becaus...

Error message on
I often use Vesta to move a website from one VPS to another. I copy the backup file to the new server, then I use v-restore-user to create the new user. All the websites are WordPress websites. Recently, with the new Vesta version, the website fails to load on the new server after I have restored th...

Re: ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS
I believe this is normal behaviour. When you pass a website through Cloudflare, it will show the Cloudflare SSL. But you need to use "Full" for SSL in Cloudflare to avoid the too many redirects error. If you want to have Let's Encrypt SSL, then uncheck the orange cloud for your domain in Cloudflare ...

Re: Backup filename now includes time
The v-restore-user function requires that the filename have yyy-mm-dd, without the time. Otherwise it says
.
So that should be corrected in future versions of Vesta.
Code: Select all
Error: permission denied
So that should be corrected in future versions of Vesta.

Forum search doesn't work (too strict)
When I search in your forum, I receive this message all the time. "The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words" For example, I searched for cron time . I tried other things like Vesta version . No results, which makes it hard for people to scan your forum ...

Cron job not at proper time
On the new version of Vesta (0.9.8-18) the Cron jobs don't occur at the proper time. I have my VPS time zone set to EST, but a Cron task that should take place at 2:30 EST is occurring at 7:30 EST. Is this a known issue?
