If you use root to upload files first time, maybe dirs ar owened by root, so you cant upload whit order users to that directory,

And then if dir are owened by root change it
When user are your FTP user or vestacp user ex: admin

You need check your IP in blacklists (rbls) and try to deslist, this is not a vestacp problem, check your ips in mxtoolbox

Hi I think you need tuning your fastcgi, if you use php-selector it run whit fastcgi, if you dont configure it, fastcgi can open a lot of child processes and you can easy run out of ram. Thank you. My mistake. The script extracted the files, imported the db and so on. The only thing missing is the website files (nothing found in the proper directory). What permisions have your files ?
You need do a chmod 644 phpinfo.php
