Re: PhpMyAdmin BlowFish
Just an update re Blowfish. Seems the latest Vesta install on CentOS 6.x is generating the "blowfish password is too short". If you see that then: Log in to SSH cd /etc/phpMyAdmin vi config.inc.php Locate following line: $cfg['blowfish_secret'] = 'xxxxxxxx' (where xxxxxx is a random set of character...

AlphaSSL SSL certificate Install on Vesta 0.9.8
Hi Folks I purchased a $5 wildcard SSL (Black Friday special) and was struggling to make it work. Here is a quick guide: What I have done thus far. 1. Logged in to mysever.org:8083 2. Clicked Web 3. Selected "edit" for myserver.org 4. Enabled SSL, Generate CSR 5. Entered in the details for CSR (used...

Re: how to install letsencrypts ssl for the vestacp admin panel
Guys, I can confirm the following with 9.8.17 if you would like the following SSL encrypted sites. If you would like your primary VestaCP website e.g. https://myserver.com:8083 SSL'ed then follow @dpeca method above. NOTE: This method does not automatically give you https:// www .myserver.com:8083. ...

Re: how to install letsencrypts ssl for the vestacp admin panel
Confirm that the new VestaCP 0.9.8.17 "GUI" option for lets encrypt does not work to encrypt the vestacp admin panel.
The method listed by dpeca does.

Re: PhpMyAdmin BlowFish
I got rid of the blowfish message by running this command (Centos 6.7)
chown -R admin phpMyAdmin
in the directory
/etc/
This is the type of stuff that needs to be fixed in VestaCp to make it a real contender.

Re: SSL for control panel IP
Hi demlasjr, Thanks for your post. I want to enable the SSL on port 8083 as well for the VestaCP admin panel so that anybody who logs in does not receive 'unsecure page error'. Confirm that by changing Nginx.conf file that solves the problem? I have a Comodo SSL cert and they gave me 4 files. Which ...
