Re: Disable nginx Reverse Proxy
Its a personal preference which setup you use. My current preference is for apache behind an nginx proxy. This way you get the benefits of both servers: the speed of the nginx server with static files and SSL termination, and the flexibility and compatibility of apache (being able to use .htaccess f...

Re: roundcube install?
OK, well if you're on Debian 8 and you ran a purge, then it will have removed all the config files from your system too. Looking at the install script, what it appears to do is to apt-get install roundcube-core roundcube-mysql roundcube-plugins and then it does the following modifications ... I don'...

Re: Databases size not updated.
Went hunting in the code and found a function in $VESTA/func/db.sh get_mysql_disk_usage() { mysql_connect $HOST query="SELECT SUM( data_length + index_length ) / 1024 / 1024 \"Size\" FROM information_schema.TABLES WHERE table_schema='$database'" usage=$(mysql_query "$query" |tail -n1) if [ "$usage" ...

Re: Databases size not updated.
OK, slightly better script which takes db name as an input. :-) Slow day at work ... #!/bin/bash if [ -z "$1" ] then echo "No database name supplied. Here is a list of them:" mysql -sN -e "SHOW DATABASES;" read -p "Please enter a Database Name: " DBNAME else DBNAME=$1 fi DBSIZE=$(mysql -sN -e "SELEC...

Re: Databases size not updated.
Not a solution, but an alternative ... from the mysql command line you can get a database's size with SELECT table_schema 'Database Name', SUM( data_length + index_length)/1024/1024 'Database Size (MB)' FROM information_schema.TABLES where table_schema = 'name_of_your_database';" Assuming you don't ...

Re: Web server running out of RAM
VestaCP is quite happy running in 1Gb, or even 512Mb DO droplet if you really squeeze it, so I think you might have to look around to see what's causing the problems. mysqltuner.pl (from ) https://github.com/major/MySQLTuner-perl is good for diagnosing database problems. In particular look at the nu...

Re: Disable nginx Reverse Proxy
This is related to the fact that the original IP is 'seen' by nginx acting as the proxy. It then passes information back to apache, which only 'sees' it as coming from the nginx IP address. Here's a related thread https://forum.vestacp.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=13499 The script it mentions -- /usr/lo...

Depends how you removed it. Also depends on what OS you're using. Care to share some details? :-)

Re: Disk Space
I think your answer is basically that you don't have 40Gb of space. You have 5.7Gb! I'm not sure what happened, but this undoubtedly happened before you tried to install vestacp, so it might be worth talking to your VM provider. Would it be possible to start another VM, and do the du -h command befo...

Re: Ubuntu 16.04 up/down grade Mysql 5.7 to Mariadb 10
Third ... Just did my first server reboot since switching to mariadb, and was alarmed that the database didn't come up. journalctl -xe gave me an error about apparmor, which led me on a search around the internet. Solution was to disable apparmor for mysql service. ln -s /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mys...
