Re: Could I mix this Python Flask tutorial to work with Vesta?
Yes, your friend suggestion is right. The tutorial is based off apache so you want to use your friends suggestion. Though, there is a slight tweaks to this suggestion. After you tested your apache config file, you want to make it into a template and put it into the template folder on your system, ex...

Re: ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS
You may have some kind of ssl redirect incorrectly/miss configured in nginx or some other configuration (.htaccess)?

Re: nginx: [emerg] unexpected "}"
Yes, this is a nginx config parsing issue which is fixed in the latest version per Gordon55M suggestion. Please update to v18 or directly from source for the fix. You may have to rebuild the user. Oh, and always backup first before upgrade.

Re: nginx status page
#1 - your IP is wrong, you don't want to use 127.0.0.1. This just bind to your local interface, which may not be exposed to the internet. Additionally, it may not work because something else, such as Apache2, may already be bound to that IP and port. Use a public IP. So to really test it, do this: s...

Re: Vesta keeps trashing apache config
What version of Vesta? This is a known issue. It used to trash nginx config too but that has been fixed in the latest version (v18) - https://github.com/serghey-rodin/vesta/issues/1447
I'm not sure if it has been fixed for Apache though.

Re: snginx.conf gets overwritten
DO NOT modify that include, see explaination in proposal #1 below. If anything, you want to add additional include. Ran into the exact same situation, you have two options: 1. Vesta create the letsencrypt file as 'snginx.site.com.conf_letsencrypt' so that's why it reference the include file as: sngi...

Re: SSL Problem
colloquialenglish.tk force redirect fine for me. I don't have any issue. Maybe you have it cached, clear browser cache, use private/incognito mode and check again.

Re: Switching to vesta from bare metal, few questions
That's a lot of assumptions. My website is about 110 gigabytes of art assets and a database of about 120 megabytes. I have over 20000 users and lots of traffic. I have a dedicated server for a reason. You're actually adding more reasons for using another/separate server. Anyway, since you mentioned...
