Re: [GUIDE] How to replace phpMyAdmin by Adminer in Ubuntu 16.04 NGINX php-fpm
Life is bliss again! Only for nginx+php-fpm, sadly ;-) You know whats really sad? That the same phpmyadmin errors as in the 1st post are occuring still at the current / latest VestaCP (v0.9.8-22) on a default Vultr Ubuntu 18.04 installation. :-p but yes you're right; the adminer replacement cli syn...

Re: Define the document root path for a static content subdomain
Hey there :) Ran in through this topic through a Google search. And while this might be true: The easiest way is to edit your apache2 conf file (I'm on Debian): nano /home/ <user> /conf/web/apache2.conf ... it also goes wrong then in the event of rebuilding vesta. Moreover the proposed solutions are...

Re: Vesta Cp not Run After upgrade Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04
well, bad news. Not really, that's the risk of being an early adopter ;) And a lesson to all of us, as I was about to upgrade to 18.04 too but going to wait it out, as VestaCP indeed has no official support yet for 18.04 ... its only upto 17.04 (see supported OS at http://vestacp.com/install/ ). Ho...

Re: Locked myself out of my VestaCP GUI and firewall CLI cmds ain't working ?
And ... fixed! :-D was scouring through the /etc folder, and ...
editted it there, rebooted server (not in the mood to master good ol' iptables cmds). And it works!
Still doesn't explain why the vesta firewall CLI cmds don't work. @skurudo can you enlighten us?
Code: Select all
nano /etc/iptables.rules

Locked myself out of my VestaCP GUI and firewall CLI cmds ain't working ?
Got a new modem from my ISP, that comes with a new IP. If I had known upfront (and should have) then I would have done things differently ... obviously :P As I find myself stuck right now by not being able to login on my VestaCP as I limited access on a /32 range. I follow the guidance in this Vesta...

Hmm odd, must have been some strange autocorrection from my Mac when copy/pasting. Thanks for noticing; corrected the 1st post!

Re: What are the NGINX web templates for?
short answer: yes. I didn't always do that though. I started with a default VestaCP template for anything (default, WP, Joomla, codeigniter, etc.) and then I used to adapt the domain vhost files in /home/admin/conf/web/ manually (as thats how I was accustomed to do things too on CentOS + Apache2 wit...
