Re: WordPress/Nginx Config
I put an index.php in the test folder and it displays perfectly. Shouldn't the RewriteRule prevent that?Graham wrote:Sat Oct 12 14:42:26 2013] [error] [client 86.43.80.92] Directory index forbidden by Options directive:skid wrote:What does the error log says?

Re: WordPress/Nginx Config
Hmm.. it worked for me. Ok. Let's exclude mod_rewrite issue first. Can you create a test directory and put following into a .htaccess file RewriteEngine on RewriteRule /$ http://google.com Then open your-site-name.com/test and see if it redirects you. If its not then you should get a internal error...

Re: WordPress/Nginx Config
I found the reason. Apache rewrite module is disabled by default. Here is how you can enable it a2enmod rewrite service apache2 restart thanks for that skid. Re: WordPress/Nginx Config
Hi skid, skid wrote:Graham, I will check this later today. Please give more details on how to reproduce it. I mean WP module/plugin name. Some urls and so on.
I'm not using any WP modules, I wanted to make sure URL rewriting was working first.
I'll pm you some further details if it'll help.
Thanks

Re: WordPress/Nginx Config
Does anyone know if the nginx rules have changed for the ubuntu version? On CentOS WordPress url rewriting worked out of the box. On Ubuntu I just can't appear to get any of the rewrites to work, always results in a 404 error. Seems like this might be useful for you: http://codex.wordpress.org/Ngin...

Always results in: Error: vesta update failed I also notice on the Updates page that the version/release/architecture items are not displayi...
