Re: Port-Forwarding for Passive FTP
Are you using SSL? If so you need to open firewall and put in 21,12000-12100 in FTP I have had to do this every time a start a new server. Run: sudo nano /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf and add this to the bottom. rsa_cert_file=/usr/local/vesta/ssl/certificate.crt rsa_private_key_file=/usr/local/vesta/ssl/c...

Re: Locked out of my server (Ubuntu 12.04.4 x32)
Yea this is true, There should be a warning during setup at least to prompt you that its going to overwrite visudo. So you don't get locked out. But its always important to back up before you do any changes to your System especially if its a production server.

Re: Showing Storage Using API
Its on that page. What I would do is save it in session so you don't have to access the db server every time.
http://vestacp.com/docs/api/#list_user
FWI theres a typo on that page v-list_user is incorrect make sure you use v-list-user or else you will be there for hours trying to figure it out.

API Key Instead of User and Password
Hello I was wondering why Vesta doesn't use a Key for login instead of username and password. Isn't it more secure to pass a key through post then your username and password? If there is a key option I couldn't find it at http://vestacp.com/docs/api/ could you point me in the right direction? Regard...

Re: Forward ip to domain - SSL
add the following after the above if question to force only one domain for vestacp:
Code: Select all
if ($host !~* ^www\.example\.com$) {
return 301 https://www.example.com:$server_port$request_uri;
}

Re: Unable to send emails
OK i fixed the issue... in /etc/csf/csf.conf change SMTP_BLOCK = "1" to SMTP_BLOCK = "0" , i think maybe CSF out the box isn't 100% compatible with Vesta since Vesta uses other names for apps. for instance: in /etc/csf/csf.pignore Vesta Default exe:/usr/libexec/dovecot/auth exe:/usr/libexec/dovecot/...
