Re: Default website for IP
The default site has to be the first VirtualHost. So I do the following: I add in file: /etc/httpd/conf.d/xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.conf (your ip address) <VirtualHost xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080> ServerName localhost DocumentRoot /home/admin/web/default.domain.com/public_html </VirtualHost> Then I add in file: /etc...

Re: MySQL corrupt - how to reinstall and restore data?
Basically my Linux file system crashed, not sure if MySQL did that. Had to do a manual file system check to get the VPS online. After getting it online, I found all the database files and folders were gone in "/var/lib/mysql", the folder was empty. I tried file recovery, did not work. i tried MySQL ...

Re: MySQL corrupt - how to reinstall and restore data?
Okay, nevermind... I have done it myself. Here is what I did: 1) Un-installed current MySQL installation with command: yum remove mysql mysql-server 2) Removed directory "/var/lib/mysql" and file "/etc/my.cnf". 3) Re-installed MySQL again with command: yum install mysql mysql-server --enablerepo=rem...

MySQL corrupt - how to reinstall and restore data?
Hello. My VPS crashed all of a sudden few hours ago. So after getting it back online, I noticed everything is running fine except for MySQL service. It got corrupt and all the database directories are missing in "/var/lib/mysql". I cannot even log into VestaCP Admin, it says: "Invalid username or pa...

Issue after upgrading to V17
Hi. I upgraded to v17 today and after that 'vesta' won't start automatically after a reboot. See here, 'vesta' service stopped just after a reboot: http://i.imgur.com/hUCYNob.png I have to manually start 'vesta' service: http://i.imgur.com/SLlfih0.png And the version number do not match in the UI: h...

Re: iptables not blocking banned IPs
Okay, I figured out the issue... As I mentioned above, I keep my SSH port disabled from VestaCP, and only enable it when I need server access. And after I am done, I again disable it... this is the issue. It seems VestaCP is resetting iptables rules as soon as I click "suspend" for SSH port. iptable...

Re: iptables not blocking banned IPs
Yes, iptables is running.
I usually keep my SSH port disabled from VestaCP, and only enable it when I need server access. So I can confirm from that, iptables is up and running because it doesn't let me login without enabling SSH first.
I did a reboot, didn't help :(
I am running CentOS 6.7 x64.
