New to VestaCP, need some guideance

Hello lovley people of Vesta!

I've been trying out some diffrent Hosting Panels - both free and paid for. And I stumbled upon Vesta a few weeks back and I've been wanting to really try it out. And now I've tried it out some for a few days, not really long enough to make my final decision but I've taken notes all the way from installation and some of the troubles I've encounterd. And I'd like to ask you, the community, some questions that might point me in the right direction.

My setup I've tried on is a VPS with 2 vCores, 2Gb Ram and some SSD space.

• I tried to setup the DNS settings properly to make it possible to point to my own nameservers (ns1 and ns2), with some troubles - as it won't seem to resolve at all. I've had to point domains and subdomains as a A-name and point to my server IP.
• I am interested in seperating VestaCP to a smaller infrastructure e.x. seperate Webbserver, MySQL, DNS etc - is this something planned in the future? I've read that some of theese already are in progress - mostly I need to remove the mailserver since it is something I rely on others to handle.
• When I tried Benchmarking with following command "ab -n 1000 -c 10 -g test_data_1.txt http://www.your-domain.com/index.html" it resulted in MySQL to stop responding - and I had to reboot the server - any ideas?
• I like how easy the VestaCP WebGUI is, but I'm curios about how hard it would be to move around items and make my own theme - and possibly integrate it with my future WHMCS template.

I'm kind of a novice in the linux and hosting niche, and I'm mostly looking to host my own sites, about 10+, host for a few friends and clients - and that's why Cpanel is overkill. Right now I host on a 1vCore, 1Gb Ram and a setup of LEMP stack with no controlpanel what so ever - which can be a bit tedious when it comes to adding new clients - and making it all work.

I'd love to see VestaCP flourish and grow and I have so much to read up on VestaCP but also hosting in general, that's why I ask for your help to kind of point me in the right direction.
