#2002 Cannot log in to the MySQL server

Hi,

I have spent hours on this now and have trawled this forum and pages and pages of search results on google.

I have done an install of VestaCP on a clean Ubuntu 14.04 build.

The install seems to go smoothly, however roundcube does not work. I was trying to go through the steps of creating the database however I cannot get into phpmyadmin as I get the below error:

"#2002 Cannot log in to the MySQL server"

I have tried everything I can find on this forum. Could someone please help. Getting kinda desperate and about to move back to ISPConfig...

Did you install vestacp as root?

I had the same problem when i created a new user, stopped root ssh access and installed vesta with the new user. I got #2002 Cannot log in to the MySQL server and backups didn't work.

I made a new clean Ubuntu 14.04 build, no new user only root and installed vesta. And vesta worked like a charm.

Edit: this solved if I turn off and turn on again the service mysql on Vesta, but when I make a reboot to my server in few seconds I get that error

Are you sure MySQL is still running? Sometimes you'll get error #2002 when the MySQL service has crashed.

I just reinstall my server to Ubuntu 12.04, set a backup from my old server and now this is fine, I don't know if mysql crashed, now I have this problem:

I have same problem, mysql crashed, i fix this with restart mysql, but this is not solution this will happend again i here paste problem before 2 month nobody not care
