What is Cloudflare and how do I use it?

I have no knowledge on how to use Cloudflare with my vps server. All I heard is that Cloudflare is a low cost way to use DDOS.
Could someone explain to me on Cloudflare and how I can use it with my site?

Best way to find this out is to sign up with cloudflare and see what it has to offer. It takes 5 minutes to browse through the dashboard.

I use cloudflare for nearly all my sites. It provides lots of benefits such as:
-ipv6 forwarding.
-DNS.
-Caching + HTML/CSS/JS minify = Save bandwidth.
-Hide server IP from public - Minimize bot attacks - Upgrade to pro plans for effective DDOS mitigation.
-Firewall - Block IP's / Blocks from accessing your content.
-Good API - Setting up DNS failover is pretty easy.

You can not use Cloudflare for Vestacp. Bacause vesta use 8083 port. Cloudflare will not open this port for you. But you can use 80 or 443 ports for other sites.

It is possible but you will face a lot of problems.

The free version does not provide DDOS mitigation. Although you are essentially hiding your ip, attackers can still attack your web-site and cloudflare detects this and will pass the traffic through to the server at this point, instead of using their "mitigation power".

You can not use Cloudflare for Vestacp. Bacause vesta use 8083 port. Cloudflare will not open this port for you. But you can use 80 or 443 ports for other sites.

This is not true technically. You use cloudflare for "websites" and NOT for "web servers". You can still access VestaCP using your server IP:8083. I wouldnt say this is a direct disadvantage.
