Bad IP Detection
Bad IP Detection
Hi!
We installed vesta and everything was working well, but we realized that when we use the data base the ip detected is the server one and no the user one.
When we use php or html to detect the user ip it works well. It only happens with MySql (i think) and this is a bit annoying because when we ban an user we ban all the website users at the same time because all of them have the same ip, the server (ip) one. (it happens with all the scripts WP/PHP Fusion/PHP Nuke...)
Is there any one who knows how to repair these?
Sorry for the bad English :)
Thanks!!

Re: Bad IP Detection
I bet you have Ubuntu as the OS.

I opened a thread a while ago about this. It seems that the version of Apache for Ubuntu has a bug and does not change the original IP address of the client in the HTTP header to go through the reverse proxy NGINX.
The solution in WordPress is set to the link I put above.
For this reason, I currently install VestaCP on CentOS. The VestaCP support on CentOS is often better than in other distributions.
