Backup how they work?

Hi iam newbie at Vestacp, i know vesta make backups by default everyday but what is done to the old ones?

How many backups stay in the server, or by default the backups are deleted after x time?

The backup is configured in the packages section. The default I believe is 3 day retention. Old backups are then removed.
