Backups not deleting old Backups in New version 0.9.8-18

I noticed that when the site is backup is not deleting the old backup. I only have it at "1" backup per site, but when it backs it up the old one still there. In the old version it use to delete the old backup.

is there any log file inside /backup directory ?

Hello,
I have the same problem, no error logs, nothing. Every backup is created successfully but older backup is not deleted. CentOS7, as at temporary solution I replaced the backup script from 17

No log file, and the OS is CentOS Linux 7.4.1708.

What is the name of old backup?

A little bit more information. The retention script, once again is corrupt. The 17th version did leave one less backup, the 18th one too much. Here is a fix
