Hello, i am new in using vesta cp. I have installed in on my ubuntu server and i have some questions. the installations of vesta was correct,everithing is working (roundcube is working too). Server is runnig on private ip address 192.168.1.5 and on the router i have set up port forwarding, but when i want to connect to the vesta cp admin menu outside (using my ip https://89.173.195.58:8083), i didnt see the login table and i dont know why (the port 8083 from outside is forwarded to local ip adress 192.168.1.5)

second question about using vesta cp:

i have bought a domain exapmle.com (the domain name is for example) and i want to redirect mails,and web page on my own server whitch is runnig on ubuntu and vesta cp
What i need to do for it ? i know that i must set up A name and ip adress of my server on the side when i bought a domain,then i need to set up mx record. do i need set up something else ?

What i need to set up on my vesta cp admin menu when i want use my server for this domain example.com ?

1. I can see the login table, it showed up for me.
2. If lets say, "example" is your server. You need the IPv4 address from that server. Then add it to your DNS settings where you purchased the domain name from (godaddy, namecheap, etc...)
Make sure you use "@" to point the host aka IPv4 address to the domain
An example that will help you big time, is an example of my DNS setup. ps: vesta is best when also using an IPv6 address for emails.
other than that, nothing else needs to be setup.
once you setup everything DNS wise, you need to create an email under the "mail" tab on vesta

the problem was in port forwarding.

i have other question:
i have to servers with different public ip address, server 1 is runnig on ip 81.89.61.188 and the second is runnig 89.173.195.58
on the second server is runnig vesta cp and on the second is runnig webserver without vestacp

i have one bought domain jasidrinks.sk and i want thaht the mail address will runnig on the second server and the webserver will runnig on the first server

the web server is runnig without problems but i mail server dont get emails, but it can send mails. Vesta cp create a mx record which i can see in vesta cp admin in domain, the mx record which it create is mail.jasidrinks.sk. , this mx record i have set where i have purchuased a domain. i create a mailbox in vesta [email protected] with password test123, when i want to login in the mail account using this adress http://89.173.195.58/webmail i can log in but when iam using address jasidrinks.sk/webmail i cant login in.

when i use mxtoolbox.com i see the mx record but there is not the ip address of the server

Hello, i receive the emails for my domain.

but i have still problems login to my webmail, when i want try login on this address 89.173.195.58/webmail the login is succesfull but when i tried to login using this address jasidrinks.sk/webmail i get the error login was not sucessfull, how can i resolve this?

how can i change the url of webmail, i want login address for webmail this mail.jasidrinks.sk and not jasidrinks.sk/webmail

username for login to webmail is [email protected] and the password is test123

89.173.195.58 is not the same server as jasidrinks.sk

You can make a web domain for mail.jasidrinks.sk and there create a redirect to jasidrinks.sk/webmail

but why cannot i connect to my webmail which i have created using the address jasidrinks.sk/webmail ? i see the roundcube login but by loggin i get the error message and i dont know why

89.173.195.58 -> Vesta server where mail account is hosted?
jasidrinks.sk -> Webserver? No mail server hosted?
The roundcube is different, you need to configure roundcube on jasidrinks.sk to connect to the mail accounts hosted on 89.173.195.58

You need to configure RoundCube on jasidrinks.sk to use the mail accounts from 89.173.195.58.
The easiest way is using just 1 server with vestaCP.
