Remove nginx from port 80 & add apache instead
Hi there,
i am using xfilesharing script on my website & have installed VestaCP on server.Website giving error when i am trying to upload files more than 200 MB.i have talked to support & they asked me to use Apache instead Nginx.i stopped nginx on my domain & the error still persists.again called support & they said nginx is still active on port 80 (Even after restarting server).support told me to set apache port to 80 instead.
i don't know how to set it.i am new to linux & never used VestaCP before this.Could anyone please help me with a step by step guide on how can i set apache to listen port 80 & nginx to not to listen port 80.
Please give a safe step by step guide if you have.i will much appreciate it.
thanks in advance

I don't think you need to remove Nginx you just need the change some settings. You need to edit the Vesta configs, and you need to edit the apache ports... So I think it's easier to reinstall your server without Nginx.
But you can first try to add this in your Nginx config:
But you can first try to add this in your Nginx config:
Code: Select all
client_max_body_size 200m;

What is your OS?
On centOS you need to:
1. Edit /etc/nginx/nginx.conf
2. Search to: client_max_body_size
2 A. If you can find this parameter edit the value to something >=200m
2 B. If you can't find this parameter, add the parameter:
3. Restart nginx ('v-restart-service nginx' or 'service nginx restart')
On centOS you need to:
1. Edit /etc/nginx/nginx.conf
2. Search to: client_max_body_size
2 A. If you can find this parameter edit the value to something >=200m
2 B. If you can't find this parameter, add the parameter:
Code: Select all
http {
...
client_header_timeout 1m;
client_body_timeout 1m;
client_header_buffer_size 2k;
client_body_buffer_size 256k;
client_max_body_size 250m
...
}

Ports seem to be in /usr/local/vesta/conf/vesta.conf
Then you'd probably have to regenerate all your web configs, and maybe Vesta config too. There are a bunch of scripts in
/usr/local/vesta/bin
which handle all this stuff, but I don't really want to guess ... I know how to do it manually on a regular server, but I don't know how Vesta handles it, so its likely any help I give you will break Vesta.
