How does VestaCP grab the bandwidth usage?

I have a friend setup with an account that's running node.js, nginx is redirecting port 3000 to port 80 on a subdomain. His bandwidth usage is 0mb, but he's definitely used more than that.

Does bandwidth include FTP usage?

Upon closer inspection, it seems Bandwidth usage does not cover FTP.

if it doesnt include FTP traffic it isnt that accurate at all!
please add this!

VestaCP uses modern Material adaptation on their control panel skin and it does not cover FTP.

is there a way to adaot it to include FTP?
